Apêl Bandi (The Bandi Appeal) was launched in the National Botanic Garden of Wales in March 2010 by Huw Edwards.
The aim is to raise sufficient funds to build a Specialist Centre for the sick children of Carmarthenshire – Canolfan Plant Sir Gâr. The centre will provide a modern, child and family friendly environment in which children’s doctors, nurses and therapists can offer assessment and treatment to children and young people with complex medical and disabling conditions, and give advice and support to them and their families.
Many children are at some time referred for a specialist opinion and so all the children of Carmarthenshire could benefit when the centre is complete.
We have already had a great deal of support from the people of Carmarthenshire and wish to thank everyone who has made a contribution.
We still need to raise another £1 million and welcome all donations no matter how small. Every pound donated will be added to the building fund!
